Where do I even start! Leslie + Ken’s wedding was nothing short of pure magic. There’s nothing more serene and calming and beautiful than a wedding on the waterfront. I might be a little biased since Lake Tahoe happens to be one of my favorite places on earth, but there’s a good reason for that. The backdrop and the weather and the gorgeous scenery was enough to make this day beyond beautiful on it’s own, but it was only made more stunning by Leslie and Ken’s incredible team of vendors who put together something truly unique and memorable. Plus, they have the kindest and most genuine hearts and their day was filled with nothing but love. The day flowed so effortlessly and had so many gorgeous details that I can’t wait to share.
First, the couple got ready with their loved ones in separate rooms of the beautiful West Shore Cafe. Afterward they took a moment to see each other privately for the first time and exchange their vows rather than sharing them with each other in front of their guests. Which ALWAYS gets to me, so of course there were plenty tears and big old smiles all around. The details were simple and unique and perfectly reflected the feeling of the day. I absolutely loved shooting the bouquet ingredients of Leslie’s bouquet along with everything else.
The ceremony featured the most gorgeous backdrop of a calm marina, the bright blue water and the outline of the mountains and trees and rocky hills. Afterward the two of them (plus me and their awesome videographer) took a private boat ride around the lake to spend a little more one-on-one time to take in the start of their new journey together.
The dinner space included rows and rows of hanging florals and string lights draped overhead of the tables all the way down to the end of the dock. It made for the dreamiest setting and a perfect way to enjoy an evening on the lake together before heading inside for desserts and live music and dancing the night away.
